The years are fleeting! Getting family photos and portraits done helps you capture life as it is right now so you can cherish it forever.
I will guide you through your sessions with plenty of prompts, encouraging natural movement and emotions for photos that feel like you.

As a mom myself, I know how hard it can be to get family photos done. Kids have short attention spans and some people are uncomfortable posing. That’s why I keep family shoots to 20-minutes and photograph while kids and families move about. I prefer movement and natural poses to something more formal, and find that it results in photos that accurately capture everyone’s personalities! I also give plenty of direction during our session so you’ll always know what to do. Keep an eye out for our mini sessions each fall!

I’ve been photographing families for 5+ years, and absolutely love it. My love for photography began in my early 20s when I took a film photography class in college. As a creative, composition and the art of the perfect photograph continues to draw me in.
I began doing family shoots each fall for friends, and slowly expanded to neighbors and referrals. As a mom, I know how expensive and stressful family shoots can be – especially with little ones! So I have kept my costs low and sessions short.
I’m fairly simplistic in how I shoot – one camera, and one or two lenses, plus an active shutter! I think the best way to capture the perfect shot of kids is by taking a massive amount of photos… and when I manage to capture the authentic smiles of little ones (or the angsty teen!), it feels like a huge accomplishment! I love capturing families and friends in photos the way that I see them in real life.
I’m also a graphic designer and owner of the stationery company NutsBoltsPaper.com, where helping families write their story one memory book and one photo at a time is what we do. If you need ideas on how to preserve memories while your kids are still young and beyond, then head on over and take a look!
